Terms of Use
Last updated: November 4, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of cancersignalingatlas.com, pathwaytotarget.com and related services (together, the "Service"), operated by Cuihua Zhu, doing business as Cancer Signaling Atlas ("Cancer Signaling Atlas," "we," "us"). By creating an account, starting a trial or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you can accept these Terms for it.
1. What the Service is
Cancer Signaling Atlas is an online educational and research reference resource. It includes an interactive atlas of cancer-signaling pathways, narrated explainer videos with scripts and references, and a searchable database of drug targets and antigens.
2. Educational use only. Not medical advice
The Service is for education, training and research reference. It is not medical advice, does not recommend any treatment, and is not a substitute for professional judgment, current prescribing information or regulatory labeling. Do not use the Service to diagnose, treat or make decisions about any patient. Drug approval status reflects the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on the review date shown and may differ in other countries or change after that date. Always confirm information against primary sources.
3. Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to buy a subscription. You agree to give accurate information and keep your login details confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at hello@cancersignalingatlas.com if you think your account has been used without permission.
4. Plans, billing and automatic renewal
- Plans. We offer a free Learner plan and paid Professional, Team and Enterprise plans. Current features and prices are shown on the Plans page. Prices are in US dollars and exclude applicable taxes unless stated.
- Automatic renewal. Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each monthly or annual billing period, and we charge your payment method at the then-current price until you cancel. We will tell you in advance of any price change, and the new price applies from your next billing period.
- Free trial. Where a free trial is offered, your payment method is charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before then. One trial per person or organization.
- Team plans. Team plans are billed per seat with a minimum of five seats. Each seat is for one named person and may not be shared. Seats may be reassigned when a team member leaves.
- Enterprise. Enterprise agreements are governed by the order form or contract signed with us, which controls if it conflicts with these Terms.
- Payment processing. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. and, where checkout shows "Sold through Link," by Link, a Stripe company, acting as the seller of record. We do not store your full card details. Their terms and privacy policies also apply to the payment.
- Cancellation and refunds. See our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
5. License to use the content
While your account is in good standing, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and view the content for your own education, training and internal research. Team and Enterprise licenses extend to the named users in your organization.
You may not:
- copy, download in bulk, resell, redistribute, publicly display or rebroadcast videos, scripts, datasets or exports, except as your plan expressly allows;
- share login details or let non-subscribers access paid content;
- use automated tools to extract content, or use the content to train or fine-tune machine-learning or AI models, without our written permission;
- remove copyright, attribution or citation notices; or
- use the Service in a way that is unlawful, harms the Service or interferes with other users.
You may quote short excerpts with attribution to "Cancer Signaling Atlas (cancersignalingatlas.com)" for teaching or scholarly commentary.
6. Our content and third-party sources
The Service, including its design, text, scripts, videos, illustrations, data compilations and software, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright and other laws. Cited publications, FDA documents and other third-party materials belong to their owners. Drug and product names are trademarks of their owners and are used only to identify approved or investigational agents. Links to external sites are provided for reference; we are not responsible for their content.
7. Independence
Our content is prepared independently of drug manufacturers. If any content is ever sponsored or supported by a third party, we will clearly disclose it on that content.
8. Feedback
If you send us suggestions or corrections, you allow us to use them without obligation to you.
9. Accuracy and changes to the Service
We work to keep content accurate and current, including monthly review of drug-approval status, but scientific and regulatory information changes and errors can occur. We may update, add or remove content and features. If we remove a major feature of a paid plan during your billing period, you may contact us for a prorated refund.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end access if you materially breach these Terms, for example by sharing accounts or redistributing paid content, or if required by law. Where reasonable, we will give notice first.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US $100 if you have not paid us. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you in full.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the Service or your breach of these Terms.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Massachusetts have exclusive jurisdiction, except that consumers may also have rights to bring claims where they live. Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we will notify subscribers by email or on the site at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
